Global design and BIM software provider, Vectorworks, Inc. has announced the Vectorworks 2020product lineup—including Vectorworks Architect, Vectorworks Landmark, Vectorworks Spotlight, Vectorworks Designer and Vectorworks Fundamentals, plus new versions of Vision and Braceworks.
The latest CAD/BIM software release updates the popular design software line with performance and quality enhancements while also strengthening data-driven workflows with brand new features.
Vectorworks 2020—Big new Data Features and New Animation Workflow
The new 2020 release features prominent new data-centric workflow features, useful for both BIM and non-BIM professionals. Importantly, the release also features an entirely new 3D animation system that replaces a set of legacy animation technologies. The new animation features also benefit from Vectorworks Graphics Module (VGM) performance tunings as well.
The new version of Vectorworks Architect, version 2020 features new BIM tools, data features, new powerful history features in 3D modeling, and an all-new 3d animation system.
With this focus on insightful design, Vectorworks 2020 extends the existing Data Visualization feature to the design layer environment. This lets customers change objects’ attributes using data parameters to visualize data for error checking, work validation, and quality control.
“Data and usability are the cornerstones of this year’s product enhancements,” said Vectorworks CEO Dr. Biplab Sarkar. “When we looked at the future of the industry and what our customers’ needs were, we kept coming back to data, particularly data-driven insights. Vectorworks 2020 is centered around providing our customers with intuitive ways to use the powerful tools of our products, while also offering more practical ways to incorporate the use of data for an improved and insightful design workflow.”
